Commissioned Landscape Paintings
This is a selection of some recent commissioned pieces painted by Victoria. When asked to paint a certain place, where at all possible, she will visit and make preliminary sketches and discuss what the client wishes.
Victoria visited the Coffee Farm in Dalat several years ago and painted two paintings for the owner. Some years later they asked her for a view of the farm, Vietnam is a long way to go to do a commission, luckily she had many sketches from her previous time there, with the help of a few photos was able to complete the work without further visits.
Strathconon, Scotland, is not a recent work. It is included because it was Victoria's first big commission of her artistic career. At 3 meters long and for the billiard room of a large house in Strathconon, it was quite a challenge. She made several visits and spent a total of forty days at her clients beautiful house, firstly making preparatory drawings on the moor and then painting the painting on site.
